Many of these works are based on the natural world and many have their roots in abstraction. Within the abstractions are a meditative cosmos observing the small visual phenomena of color and light.
The paintings of glass objects are fields of curved forms expressing, transparent, translucent, refractive and reflective states composed of deep jewel like color relationships and the microcosms of the abstracted shapes created by the intersection of light and color.
Landscapes have ties to the observable world, with an emphasis on clouds, trees and water. Within some of these paintings there is a collision with abstraction in the geometry of the format, a crossover between the natural world and geometry.
